Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:
The position is the main point of contact for the VIP clients. Responsible for providing the customers with a personalized service and support, the VIP Client Support Specialist is in charge of maintaining and developing relationships with the assigned VIP accounts by taking ownership of the all-around customers' needs.
Key duties & responsibilities
- Perform VIP customer onboarding and setup with Finance, EDI, DDP, Logistics etc., monitor and ensure any changes to the agreed terms & conditions are executed properly and timely.
- Conduct QC and reports' analysis daily and coordinate with the Analysts and General Manager the handling of day-to-day activities depending on the level of complexity.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of all customer needs and requirements and coordinate with the General Manager (BCO/NVO) the extended levels of service are consistent with VIP standards.
- Proactively monitor account performance and identify operational issues, report any trends to General Manager (BCO/NVO).
- Collaborate with other departments (Sales / Trades / Bids / Service Contracts / Finance / Intermodal) on accounts' specific matters.
- Conduct the Ops QBRs with the assigned accounts as organized by the General Manager (BCO/NVO).
- Serve as the 1st level of escalation, addressing any issues or problems faced by customers promptly.
- Determine the need of further escalation to Nationwide General Manager (BCO/NVO).
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
- English: advanced
- Strong attention to details
- Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
- Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Great team player
- Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of MSC systems (e.g. link, terminal websites): fundamental
- Knowledge of custom and shipping regulations: intermediate
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
