JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Business Intelligence & Analytics team, the Junior Business Intelligence Analyst :
- Designs and creates dashboards, tools, and reports used across a wide range of business units.
- Communicates with business users to understand their needs and offers basic support to help them make best use of the dashboards, tools, and reports.
- Deals with requests of low complexity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in all aspects of the development life cycle, including architecture, requirement gathering, development, testing, training, implementation and support for applications and reports.Communicates with the business users, clarifies, and understands their requirements, transposes them in the data requirements and specifications that will be used to guide development of required databases, tools, reports, and dashboards.Has deep knowledge of vast data available in the organization and knows where to find data to answer business questions.Data and database operational support including administration, data management / configuration, and internal and external data-set integration.Improves data flow and data quality to increase data accuracy, viability, and value.Creates and maintains training material and train business functional, power, and end-users as necessary.Assists in quality control and validation processes and testing efforts, providing guidance and supervision to end users to ensure adequate and thorough testing.Creates Ad Hoc reports, queries and / or analyses upon request.Provides day to day support to the division as required to ensure the availability and performance of systems, users interface and dashboards.Identifies data relationships and dependencies.Assists with the design of workflows and procedures.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
