Logistics Specialist - Vessel Reconciliation

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the vessel load list is compliant with customs regulations and MSC internal rules and procedures. Effective communication with internal and external parties is crucial to clarify any issues related to the load list.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load List Preparation: Prepare and monitor the load list by verifying information from terminals and internal MSC systems.
- Cargo Verification: Ensure MSC cargo is loaded on the vessel and correctly documented.
- Loading List Clean-up: Roll or cancel bookings without proper documentation, cut-offs, or no-shows according to customs regulations and MSC internal rules and procedures.
- Data Comparison: Compare data in MSC internal systems and terminal systems to identify discrepancies.
- Issue Resolution: Communicate and collaborate with terminals to resolve issues, such as containers held for inspection by US Customs and US Coast Guard.
- Vessel Schedule Updates: Investigate and communicate vessel schedule changes to internal and external parties.
- Team Collaboration: Work together with various internal departments, including Documentation and Planning.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
- AUHORIZATION: Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- SOFTWARE SKILLS: Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software.
- INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
- INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills, good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities.
- TEAM PLAYER: Team player with a professional attitude.
- SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITY: Schedule flexibility, may occasionally work outside of normal working hours.
