Hazardous Specialist MSC USA - Charleston Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY Enters data for hazardous cargo in MSC systems, according the IMDG and MSC US procedures and guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Data entry for the DGDs (Dangerous Goods Declarations) in the MSC system. Advises customers of any issues with paperwork. Sends the booking confirmations to the shipper when the shipments are approved in the system. Communicates with shippers for any IMDG/MSC required paperwork. Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary. Generates potential solutions to customer issues. Performs other tasks as required by management.
