Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting customers with matters related to inland transportation of their cargo, by rail and / or truck.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MSExcel and Power BI.
Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and various MSC departments globally as needed.
Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors. · Analyzes data and considers performance modifications and implements strategies to support process efficiencies.
Provides timely and accurate responses to all inquiries regarding transportation statues and updates.
Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
