Role Overview
The Document Imaging Specialist position specializes in managing and processing mortgage-related documents using imaging technology. This role involves converting physical documents into digital formats, organizing, and indexing them, and ensuring the secure and efficient storage of mortgage-related paperwork.
Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:
Scan and Index documentation to the appropriate account to ensure files are organized and are maintained in accordance with investor guidelines.
Process, Scan and Index incoming mail to the appropriate account to ensure files are organized and are maintained in accordance with investor guidelines.
Verify the indexing of scanned loan documentation to accurately identify the document type and ensure images are associated to the appropriate loan.
Performs quality control review of the scanned images for legibility and accuracy of indexing.
File documents in proper storage for retention and shredding.
Proper routing of required original loan and collateral documents.
Perform routine maintenance on scanners as required.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
Experience: 1-2 years previous imaging experience preferred
1-2 years office or banking operations experience preferred
Familiarity with various types of mortgage related documentation
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment with minimal guidance
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail (both orally and in writing)
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information (customers and employees)
Ability to adjust to a changing environment
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Physical Requirements
Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
