Compensation & Benefits: $55,000-65,000

Role Overview
The Social Media Strategist assists the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to create organic content for a variety of social media platforms. They perform market research, analyzing trends to assist in the development of MSF’s marketing strategy, and provide analytics supporting recommendations of how to best reach the targeted audience.
Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:
- Create, manage, and publish original and high-quality content across various social media platforms.
- Monitor analytics and metrics to gauge success of social media ad campaigns and create reporting to reflect user engagement and ROI.
- Research social media trends and hashtags that relate to a target audience’s interests to ensure relevant, up-to-date content and develop hashtags that the company can use.
- Manage a content calendar for various channels, planning and scheduling posts in advance to maintain a cohesive strategy.
- Coordinate with influencers, bloggers, and news outlets to create social buzz.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to grow the company’s network and target new followers and implement plan as dictated by leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
- A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in marketing or a related field required.
- Experience with graphic design, photo editing, and publishing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Hands-on experience using social media to build brand awareness preferred.
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics/analytics.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to identify target audiences’ preferences and produce tailored content.
Physical Requirements
- Stationary position; prolonged periods at a desk and working on the computer.
- Occasional movement about inside the office to walk to offices and office machinery.
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
