Duties And Responsibilities
- Assess, audit, design analyze and implement secure network architectures and supporting technology solutions.
- Ensure the network design and implementation comply with regulatory requirements and frameworks, including CMMC, PCI, SOX, NIST 800-53, and NIST 800-171, and other security control frameworks as required.
- Ensure alignment of network security systems with business goals and requirements.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Developing and executing network security strategies and roadmaps.
- Reviewing and creating network diagrams and flow charts.
- Conduct network security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
- Identify integration issues and develop solutions to address them.
- Research, design, and advocate for new technologies, architectures, and security products.
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations.
- Collaborate with IT and information security teams to design, implement, manage, and report on the effectiveness of network security controls.
- Stay updated with the latest network security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC s vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network CompTIA Security or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security architecture or a related field.
- Experience designing and implementing and expanding network security and segmentation architectures
- Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems hardening, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with firewall/IPS rules, content monitoring/filtering, and intrusion prevention.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong project management skills to oversee complex security initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software-defined networking practices.
- Additional industry-recognized technical certifications/designations.
- Experience with cloud hosting (GCP, Azure) and cybersecurity tooling.
- Must exhibit a drive to learn new concepts and technologies.
- Experience with the application of threat modelling or other risk identification techniques.
- Ability to work with both internal security functions and other business units within the organization.
- Ability to work in a team environment, to work under pressure and show flexibility.
- A co-operative but assertive personality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A valid driver s license may be required; and up to 5% of travel.
- May require after-hours work to respond to security incidents or perform maintenance.
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ( ITAR ) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ( CUI ) -
