This role will be responsible for training all new hires within multiple departments, cross training associates and assist in guiding workflow of basic day-to-day functions in the warehouse
DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes the lead in training new and current associates in partnership with the CFC Learning Specialist. Training consists of but not limited to safety, performance and quality standards.
- Evaluates associates progress and provides regular performance updates to the appropriate parties
- Coaches Associates to higher levels of performance, productivity & quality
- Performs all department functions within specified productivity and quality expectations. Includes but is not limited to picking, packing, stockhandling, receiving and large.
- Facilitates all day-to-day operational activities of the department as well as oversee the workflow processes by helping the associates eliminate barriers to productivity and quality.
- Assists department supervisor with productivity enhancements, conducting performance observations and SOP updates.
- Operates basic and advanced tools, equipment and warehouse vehicles (i.e. turret truck and/or order picker).
- Evaluates spend-a-day candidates on departmental procedures and monitors their progress
- Monitors, reports and supports the Safety culture and ensures safety rules and SOPs are communicated and followed.
- Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.
- Performs to specified productivity and quality expectations within safety guidelines
- Participates in work clean program.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC s mission.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- One year of warehousing or related experience is required.
- Subject matter experts in 2 or more departments preferred
- Internal candidates need to be in good standing
- Experience in operating basic warehouse vehicles such as pallet jacks and forklifts if required in specific department.
- Experience operating advanced warehouse vehicles such as turret trucks and order pickers where required.
- Basic computer skills required.

- May be required to work overtime to meet customer s needs.
- Must obtain internal certification to operate warehouse vehicles within specified time requirement.
