Position Overview:
As the Preschool Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing children for their next classroom up and ultimately for Kindergarten and life in general because we believe the love for learning dates as early as the first 5 years. You’ll be responsible for creating a dynamic, engaging classroom where children feel excited to learn. Through your thoughtful curriculum, hands-on activities, and individualized attention, you will help each child build the social, emotional, and academic skills necessary for a smooth transition to school.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create a Learning Wonderland: Design and implement a stimulating, developmentally appropriate lesson plan using our researched based creative curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Build Foundational Skills: Focus on developing early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills through engaging, play-based learning activities.
- Foster a Love of Learning: Inspire curiosity and excitement in your students, helping them develop a love for learning that will carry them through their school years.
- Classroom Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operations of the classroom, ensuring a safe, organized, and joyful learning environment.
- Tailor Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each child, recognizing that every student learns differently.
- Parent Partnerships: Build strong, open lines of communication with families, offering regular updates on each child’s progress and encouraging involvement in the learning process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and other support staff to create a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
- Assess and Document Growth: Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress and share insights with parents through regular conferences and progress reports.
What You’ll Bring to the Classroom:
- A Passion for Early Childhood Education: A love for working with young children and a dedication to helping them thrive during this crucial stage of development.
- Experience & Education: Degree is NOT required, but rewarded on the pay scale. We require prior experience working in a childcare center and preferably as a Lead Teacher.
- Creativity & Energy: An innovative, hands-on teaching style that incorporates creative play, arts, and active learning.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptability: The ability to pivot and adjust to the needs of your students, ensuring that each child’s learning experience is maximized.
- Organization & Time Management: The skills to balance lesson planning, classroom management, and individualized instruction.
