Experience & Requirements Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to effectively interact with institutional and clinical staff. Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement. A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role. Responsibilities Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Mental Health Observer with YesCare : Conduct one-on-one, direct observation of patients at risk of self-injury or suicide. Under the supervision and guidance of a licensed behavioral health professional, conduct observational rounds on suicide watch and / or in select behavioral health settings. Reliably document and communicate observations of patients on suicide watch and / or housed in behavioral health units. Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation as indicated. Monitor patients and promote prosocial behavior. Participation in unit treatment team planning. Documentation of critical incidents and treatment progress in patient's medical record at the discretion of supervisor. Participation in unit morning report and regular unit staff meetings. May facilitate community meetings. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Other duties as assigned by management.
