Security Officer

Job Summary

This role serves a critical function in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport facilities by enforcing security protocols, conducting screenings, and responding to potential threats or emergencies with vigilance and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot or vehicle to ensure the protection of people and assets.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum 3 years of combined experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
• Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Display exceptional customer service and written and oral communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client specific sites.
• Able to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
• Work entire shift/weekly schedule on a consistent basis and maintain excellent attendance in accordance with company policies.
• Work overtime as needed, including being able to stay over if relief is not readily available at the end of the incumbent's shift.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree preferred.
• Military and Law Enforcement background preferred.
