We work collaboratively across the enterprise and with regional and local market teams to drive sustainable patient access.
Reporting into the Regional Market Access leader for the Asia Pacific, you will partner with markets to ensure the successful execution of access, tender, and pricing strategies. This will be consistent with the integrated business plan for critical assets within the Company's Vaccines, Virology & Pharmaceutical product portfolio.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Plan and execute landscape and pricing research to support and build market access strategy for products and indications. Ensure appropriate pricing, access, and negotiation strategies to achieve optimal access and unlock entire populations through vaccine NIPs / catch-up programs and enhance penetration in the private market.
- Closely collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Policy, and CORE (Centre for Observational and Real-World Evidence) teams in AP.
- Liaise with the global market access and business teams to lead the execution of the global access strategy for assets within the Company's Vaccines, Virology & Pharmaceutical portfolio.
- Represent the AP region to provide input to develop global access and pricing strategies for pipeline Vaccine, Virology, Hospital, and Specialist assets.
- Design and implement regional access initiatives supporting local short- and long-term objectives and outcomes.
- Demonstrate market access subject matter expertise in key Therapy / Capability Areas, such as Contracting and Affordability Solutions, as a resource to the regional access strategy team and subsidiary teams.
- Ensure value proposition and pricing strategy for key franchises, tender shaping, and bidding strategies through working directly with markets to manage the development of strategic responses to the external economic, regulatory, legal, and political environments. Design and deliver communication activities to develop and nurture the relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support markets in the implementation of strategic projects to identify evidence requirements, proactively generate insights through the use of local & other data sources. Drive data generation to address gaps, generate locally tailored value messages to relevant stakeholders, and support the development and implementation of NIPs and reimbursement proposals that address payers' challenges.
- Support and guide price approval proposals in specific markets and support business cases (analyzing pricing levels, pricing research, interfaces with HQs, creation, and implementation of tools to support price management).
- Together with market teams, look for innovative public payment solutions and funding mechanisms to ensure access to the entire population for our vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the key payer landscape (including barriers and opportunities). Develop an understanding of policy objectives, health priorities, and planned initiatives of governments throughout the region with the Policy, communication, and Population Health teams.
- Support private market affordability and innovative payment solutions for vaccines and virology.
- Partner with the Learning & Development team and other stakeholders to augment execution excellence and pricing, access, and health economic capabilities of affiliates to support the value and access strategy. Build hands-on negotiation strategies for critical tenders across the region.
