ANGOLA MIDDLE SCHOOL
Emotional Disabilities Instructional Assistant
Responsibilities: Assist the special education and general education classroom teachers while working with the students with special needs.
Qualifications: Experience working in a school setting with special needs students preferred. Safe Hiring Solutions expanded background including Indiana Department of Child Services index.
And (One of the following must be completed within the school year)
- Two years of college experience
- A two-year college degree
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials
- Passed the ParaPro Assessment (within the first year of employment)
- One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience
in a school or working with children
- Passed annual school-level evaluations
- Complete the following for MSDSC Secondary IAs:

Training on the specific programs used by the
district for the position
- Complete the training requirements detailed in the
ParaProfessional Training grant awarded by IDOE
Salary: $15.50 per hour
Start Date: Upon School Board Approval/Superintendent Approval
