LPN Job Summary
The Licensed Nurse Practitioner provides effective support for Respiratory Therapist services and set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, bipap/cpap, trach and suction and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited LPN School and must have LPN or CRN licensure in the states inquiring of employment and in good standing.
- Must be willing to commute and travel to patient homes on a daily basis, this will be a remote commuting position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a working an LPN is preferred. Experience in the home setting is highly desirable.
- Preferred experience with respiratory equipment.
- Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information regarding equipment set ups, operations, trouble shooting, and detailed outline of services to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential.
- Ensures that the team plans daily events to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time).
- Assists with the proper scheduling of set-ups and follow-up visits according to company policies and standards.
- Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons and other Respiratory technicians in coordinating patient discharges that require equipment set ups.
- Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies.
- Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintains strong knowledge of MSI’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently.
- Ensures that the team maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members.
- Submits expense reports for travel at least once weekly and in a timely manner to be compensated properly.
- On-call responsibilities as needed.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-Time, per diem, PRN as listed on ad.
Salary: $50 per service stop, reimbursement for tolls and mileage after 30 miles.
