Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Maintain vacant properties in a safe, sound, and secure manner
- Timely, responsive, and comprehensive client communications
- Complete all client’s required MSP tasks daily
- Provide accurate daily reporting to client
- Respond to client requests in a timely manner
- Review daily reports and take appropriate action
- Provide accountability for the progress of all assets assigned to you
- The Specialist will be responsible for building relationships with Clients, Code Officers, Investors, City, State and Federal Agencies, regulatory and enforcement offices
- Communicating and implementing the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
Summary of Position
The Property Preservation Specialist will act as the primary point of contact for our Client for all servicing functions related to preservation and protection of our Client’s mortgage assets. The Specialist must ensure that all client’s required MSP tasking is completed within the client’s required time frames. Work orders must be created as needed and monitored to completion.
This position will be responsible for pre and post-sale first time vacants. have high attention to detail, ensure that the property condition doesn’t deteriorate, and that the properties under MSI care are maintained in a safe, sound, secure and sanitary manner. The Property Preservation Specialist will investigate, evaluate, resolve, and respond on all servicing related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of residential property preservation
- 1 years of property preservation experience
- Experience with FHA preservation a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written; ability to successfully interact with a wide range of people
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to recognize issues and resolve them in a timely and effective manner
- MS Office: Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read reports and analyze data
- Strategic thinker who can provide clear directions to vendors & over allowable requests to investor/insurers
- Ability to interpret and execute policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt to different working environments and situations quickly
- Understanding of local, state and federal regulations, statutes and compliance requirements for preservation
- Understanding of Investor Guidelines, including FHA/HUD
- Multi-tasker – able to prioritize and multi-task
- Experience with WebDirect, P260, Hometracker, and PAID
