Planner

Summary: This position ensures efficient communication, timely distribution of samples, and maintains an organized and professional workspace. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 08:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19 to $20 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $38,440 and $52,555 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Respond to internal emails and provide status updates on ongoing tasks and projects.
• Open and process incoming packages; distribute materials to various departments including Office, Mezzanine, Sales, and Studio.
• Follow up on pending projects and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Dispose of trash and packaging waste in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily inspections of the back area (near the train tracks) to ensure it remains free of unauthorized or misplaced materials. Weekly Tasks
• Prepare materials for shipping or internal transfers.
• Coordinate with the operations team regarding incoming transfer schedules.
• Ship materials to external vendors as needed.
• Create and process sales orders in collaboration with the sales or logistics team.
• Maintain and update assigned Microsoft Teams product rooms with accurate material or project information. As-Needed Tasks
• Run errands to local suppliers (e.g., Home Depot, Floor & Decor) to purchase or compare materials.
• Research materials online for purchasing or product comparison.
• Drop off urgent packages at UPS or handle urgent shipments.
• Pick up or deliver materials to/from local vendors.
• Pull materials from crates for upcoming meetings or projects.
• Set up material displays for showroom meetings and presentations.
• Contact UPS or LTL carriers for troubleshooting delivery issues.
• Assist in installing new boards or material presentations in the showroom.
• Complete additional tasks and special requests as assigned by management.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• Experience in material handling, operations, or logistics is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for off-site errands)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Excellent communication and follow-through
