The Best of the Twin Cities since 1972, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine provides timely, dependable, and interesting information to its readers about the people, places, and events that form Minneapolis and St. Paul. The fundamental reason the magazine exists is to enhance people's lives by telling them the best places to go, what to see, what's new, and who's who.
The Events and Marketing team is seeking a dynamic intern to join the team and assist with event planning initiatives. This internship offers a mix of independent tasks and collaborative projects, providing a fast-paced and high-visibility experience.
As the Marketing Events Intern at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, you will gain insight into the sponsorship selling process, the planning and execution, and the promotion for our signature events including Best of Summer, Rosè Fest, Restaurant Week, Fashionopolis, and Northern Char.
Internship responsibilities may include assisting with the following:
- Event pre-planning
- Execution of promotional materials advertising efforts (print, digital, email social)
- Coordination of event sponsors, vendors, and volunteers
- Event setup and teardown
- Guest check-ins
- Social media planning and execution
- Coordination and execution of Restaurant Week
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Suite of Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Adobe software including InDesign and Photoshop a plus, but not required. Experience with automated email marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal communications abilities, problem-solving, time-management and organizational skills. Comfortable talking to clients.
- Dependable, professional, and responsible
- Ability to work independently and seek consultation when appropriate
- Reliable transportation
- Desired Class Level(s): Junior, Senior
- Desired Field of Study: Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Details
- $15/hour
- Must live in MN and commit to 20-28 hours during the work week, between the hours of 9am and 5pm. May-October.
- Minimal nights and weekends (events)
- Hybrid work, must have the flexibility to work from the office occasionally and drive to event locations
- Reports to the Experiential Marketing Manager
