Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual income taxes and business taxes. While a degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, it is not required. More importantly, we value practical experience and a willingness to learn and expand your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual income tax returns.
• Participate in the tax client intake process and maintain client communications.
• Gradually take on more complex tax returns, including business tax returns, as experience is gained.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in preparing individual tax returns.
• A working knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience with tax preparation and accounting software, especially Intuit products.
• Experience in preparing business tax returns.
