What are the responsibilities and job description for the Partnerships & Marketing Summer Intern position at MSQUASH?
MSQUASH is a premier High-Performance Squash Academy founded by Shaun Moxham and Katline Cauwels. With state-of-the-art facilities in Port Chester, NY, and South Norwalk, CT, we are dedicated to developing athletes through cutting-edge training, strategic match play, and fostering a winning mindset. In addition to training elite players, MSQUASH cultivates a dynamic community with programs for juniors, adults, and social players.
This internship offers hands-on experience in brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, and marketing. Interns will gain real-world exposure to business development and assist in securing and managing partnerships. This is a learning experience, and we don’t expect you to know everything right away. We will teach you the necessary skills and provide guidance throughout the internship to help you succeed.
Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships (60%)
- Research and identify potential sponsors and brand partners.
- Assist in outreach efforts and learn how to pitch sponsorship opportunities.
- Support the creation of partnership proposals and presentations.
- Assist in managing current partnerships and activations.
- Track and maintain sponsorship data.
Marketing & Social Media (20%)
- Contribute to MSQUASH’s marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Assist in social media content creation and engagement strategies.
- Help craft promotional materials for sponsorship activations.
Facility Engagement & Front Desk Operations (20%)
- Serve as a key point of contact for guests in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Learn about MSQUASH’s vision and engage with members to enhance the academy’s community.
- Gain exposure to event planning and the operational aspects of a sports academy.
- Your role will involve handling partnerships and marketing tasks at the front desk and in the office.
Education & Skills:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Juniors, Seniors, or Grad Students preferred).
- Minimum GPA of 3.4.
- Background in sports, marketing, business, or communications (sports industry knowledge is a plus, but squash experience is not required).
Mindset & Personality:
- Eager to learn and grow in the partnerships and sponsorship space.
- Comfortable assisting in pitching and engaging with high-level clients.
- Outgoing, personable, and able to build strong relationships.
- Hardworking and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Open to potential full-time opportunities after the internship.
- 4–5 days per week.
- Open to morning, evening and weekend shifts.
- Having transportation or the willingness to commute to our SONO CT campus one workday a week is a strong plus but not required.
- College credit along with a monthly stipend ranging from $1,000 to $1,500, depending on qualifications.

Duration: May – August 2025 (Flexible start date)

Potential for Full-Time Conversion

Salary : $1,000 - $1,500
