Network Operations Engineer Position
We invite an adept Network Operations Engineer to join our dynamic network operations team. If you possess a unique blend of technical expertise in networking, systems, and automation / tooling, you could be an ideal fit. We need a professional who thrives in a high-velocity setting and is passionate about diving deep into operational challenges, finding solutions, and swiftly grasping new technologies and domains.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the principal Subject Matter Expert concerning the operations of our hyper-scale and diverse production networks.
- Establish critical success metrics focused on quality, efficiency, costs, and timing, and modify these as infrastructure and business needs evolve.
- Craft and implement operational process enhancements, transitioning improvements into scalable, automated workflows. This includes writing and critically reviewing code to elevate operational proficiency.
- Lead thorough analysis of intricate technical problems across networks, encompassing both software tooling glitches and hardware / network setbacks.
- Proactively identify potential operational hazards and devise strategies for mitigation.
- Facilitate and refine escalation and emergency protocols, conducting comprehensive postmortems and addressing concerns systematically to prevent recurrences.
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments like Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Traffic, Logistics, and Program Management. Also, oversee the performance of external vendors.
- Join the global operations team's on-call rotation.
- Travel requirement : Approximately 15%, including both domestic and international trips.
