What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Analyst position at MSR Cosmos?

Role : Quality Assurance Analyst

Location : Woodbridge, NJ onsite 4 days / week

Must have Property and Casualty experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Based on project requirements and technical design, develop & execute software test cases
Plan test schedules & strategies in accordance with project scope & delivery dates
Document test cases, results and defects utilizing Micro Focus (formerly HP) Quality Center / ALM
Create and manage test data, including data for use by automated scripts where applicable
Document and communicate project quality over the course of testing, including readiness for release using our standard test process and status reporting template
Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase - largely through test information sharing and test data creation for UAT team members using our automated processes

Desired Skills :

3-5 years testing and / or Property & Casualty Insurance experience

Experience with Quality Center / ALM for requirements, test case and defect management

Data testing experience including writing SQL and working with XML files

Exposure to Property & Casualty Insurance a plus

Excellent skills as a communicator and facilitator, both written and oral

Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish a common goal

Self-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills

A 'process improvement' mind-set
