The Stores and Operations Support role is responsible for overseeing stock control, inventory management, and providing operational support within the warehouse, while directly supporting Production and Service operations. This position ensures accurate stock levels, timely availability of materials for production and service teams, and the efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility. Additionally, the role involves ensuring strict adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and overseeing the overall maintenance of the MSS Americas building and infrastructure. A focus on continuous process improvements is also key to enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
The role will be office based at our address in Rock Hill SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control and Inventory Management:
· Ensure Accurate Stock Levels: Perform regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconcile stock discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Manage Goods In and Goods Out: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and dispatch of goods, ensuring all processes are followed correctly and efficiently.
· Issue Parts to Production and Service Teams: Distribute required parts to Production and Service teams according to established stock allocation procedures, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
· Monitor Stock Movements: Track all stock activities, including goods received, internal transfers, and dispatches, to maintain real-time visibility of inventory.
· Ensure Timely Stock Replenishment: Proactively manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations, ensuring availability aligns with operational needs.
· Coordinate with UK HQ: Collaborate with the UK headquarters to track and expedite stock transfers, ensuring deliveries meet the specific requirements and timelines for US operations.
· Leverage Inventory Management Software: Use inventory management systems to log and track stock movements, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records for auditing and reporting purposes.
Operational Support:
· Facilitate Daily Operations: Ensure smooth workflows in the store or warehouse, optimizing processes to maintain operational efficiency.
· Organize and Maintain Warehouse Layout: Assist in the arrangement and upkeep of the store or warehouse to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and space utilization.
· Coordinate Shipments: Manage the scheduling and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
· Oversee Logistics Management: Support logistics by coordinating and scheduling deliveries, pickups, and transport, ensuring adherence to timelines and minimizing disruptions.
· Ensure Accurate Labeling and Documentation: Maintain proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of stock to comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
· Manage Outbound Shipments: Coordinate transportation for outbound shipments, ensuring smooth and timely delivery to customers or other destinations.
· Maintain Shipping Records: Track and maintain detailed shipping information for traceability, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible for audit or reference purposes.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
· Ensure Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold and enforce all health and safety regulations within the warehouse or store, creating a secure environment for staff and customers.
· Maintain Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse or store clean, organized, and hazard-free to minimize risks and improve operational flow.
· Adhere to Company Policies: Follow and implement company policies, including quality control procedures, safety protocols, and operational standards, to maintain consistency and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field).
· Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (depending on the nature of the store/warehouse).
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with inventory management software (e.g., ERP or similar systems).
· Forklift certification (if applicable).
