Here is what a typical day might look like as a Controls Technician:
- Youll be performing preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs of DDC systems at customer locations
- Youll diagnose and repair building automation and controls systems
- Youll also be responsible for device testing (end to end), program downloading, equipment start-up and operations.
Here are some of the skills were looking for in a Controls Technician:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of building automation and controls systems
- Ability to interpret controls drawings, plans and sequence of operations
- Knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems with the ability to test and make modifications in a variety of controls software system languages including Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Trane and Honeywell building management systems.
- Ability to interface and communicate to customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check
- You may have held one of these positions in the past: Building Automation Specialist, Controls Service Technician, BAS Technician, BAS Controls Engineer, etc.
