The candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Engineer team in creating detailed cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other project-related activities to help Managers and Project Managers in bidding on or determining the price of the project.
Roles and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Installation of conduit and wiring for building control systems.
- Support of installation team for Fire and Security if needed.
- Reading plans and drawings.
- Maintaining documented installation standards and practices.
- Leading with a safety-first mindset each day.
- Support other technicians with system point checks.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of installations.
- Maintain customer satisfaction for continual company growth.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 4 years of experience and/or education in commercial, residential or industrial electrical systems
- Read Control drawings
- Run conduit
- Terminate electrical wires
- Professionally present yourself.
- Must be able to work with various basic hand tools, follow directions and be able to read and write.
- Must have an acceptable driving record
Physical Demands
Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC)
Key Requirements
- Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable.
- Random drug testing is required.
- An appointment to this position may require a background investigation.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
