Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and practices, along with experience in managing accounting functions. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Duties
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Conduct budgeting processes to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to bookkeeping principles for accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
- Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing and budgeting duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and financial report writing.
- Proficiency in financial software applications, ERP, spreadsheet and Database usage (Epicor experience preferred)
- In-depth understanding of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex financial information clearly.
