Audiovisual Technology Coordinator
Position Summary
Join our team to work on digitizing and preserving the collections of the Vincent Voice Library, including developing, maintaining and installing audiovisual systems and networked audio solutions to aid in our digitization and stewardship efforts. Collaborate with colleagues in the Gerald M. Kline Digital and Multimedia Center to consult with stakeholders across the library to design systems aimed at recording events to add to our collections and make events more accessible. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless experiences for library events and educational experiences in virtual, hybrid, and in-person modalities.
Characteristics Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with legacy audiovisual equipment to digitize and preserve historic collections in the Vincent Voice Library and the Digital and Multimedia Center.
- Exercise sound judgment in determining the suitability of legacy audiovisual equipment for digitization projects.
- Independently install, maintain, and troubleshoot networked audio interfaces to facilitate the digitization of materials and the recording of interviews and events for inclusion in our collections.
- Use advanced knowledge to research and recommend audiovisual technology solutions for digitization of collections and recording events and interviews to add to the collections.
- Develop and lead projects to supplement and create accessible and seamless experiences in public and private facing spaces.
- Keep up to date with developments in the audiovisual library and archive world.
- Create policies and procedures surrounding audiovisual technology and its use.
- Provide preventative and responsive maintenance to existing audiovisual systems.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an office setting; experience with database, spreadsheet, and word processing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
