RHS Job Title Housekeeping Management Intern Job Description

The Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a professional, dedicated and a detail-oriented Hospitality Business student to join our team.

The Internship requires you to be able to work in Spring 2025

$15/hour!

During your internship with our housekeeping team, you will learn and or participate in the following:

• Inspecting hotel guest rooms for cleanliness
• Completing inventories of hotel supplies and linen to ensure adequate levels are maintained
• Supervising student staff, including assigning tasks
• Communicating with supervisors and other team members via personal radio
• Training in all housekeeping department positions
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Be able to work Spring 2025 semester
• Experience completing tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• The availability to work nights, early mornings, and weekends
• A positive and respectful demeanor, especially when working with a diverse population
• Current Hospitality Business Major
• Level I internship completed
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer knowledge in order to utilize the hotel’s property management system and complete online safety training
• Prior hotel or customer service related job experience

• Lift 25 pounds

Work Hours

• Be able to work in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
• Variable, to include various days, evenings, and weekends.
