$12.48 per hour

Team Members in this position at 1855 Place will be responsible for making a positive first impression to guests by providing fast accurate answers to questions regarding Residential and Hospitality Services, 1855 Place, the University, and East Lansing, and exhibiting passion for MSU.
Typical job duties of the Welcome Center team member are but not limited to:

Team Members in this position at 1855 Place will be responsible for making a positive first impression to guests by providing fast accurate answers to questions regarding Residential and Hospitality Services, 1855 Place, the University, and East Lansing, and exhibiting passion for MSU.
Typical job duties of the Welcome Center team member are but not limited to:
- Answering questions via phones, on-line and and in person from students, parents, staff, and the general public.
- Sorting, logging and distributing mail and packages
- Assisting in maintaining records and accounts, running errands
- Assisting in basic building operations
- Duties associated with this position may involve light/moderate physical effort, including lifting, bending and daily computer use.
- Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
- Motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
- Dependable and reliable
