RHS Job Title State Room Bartender Job Description
As a Restaurant Bartender, you will be primarily responsible for preparing and serving drinks at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center’s State Room Restaurant. In addition to bartending duties, you will also serve food to guests at the bar and in the lounge area. It is your job to make sure the guests of the State Room Restaurant receive the most outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications

Physical Demands
Must be able to move up to 26 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Work Hours

It is your job to make sure the guests of the State Room Restaurant receive the most outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Casual knowledge of proper food service techniques is necessary.
- Willingness to work a flexible shift is necessary.
- Standards of personal hygiene consistent with sanitation rules and regulations is necessary.
- One-year satisfactory experience as a waiter/waitress is desirable.
- Frequent lifting of up to 26 pounds is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Must be positive and respectful, especially when serving a diverse population.
- Must be available to work weekdays & weekends, and some holidays
- Minimum 1 year bar tending experience, and 2 years serving experience, 1 or more years preferred in high end full service restaurant
- Able to work all MSU home football games
