OCTO seeks a senior application integration consultant to assist in migrating its enterprise integration platform from onpremise application (Oracle SOA suite) to Microsoft Azure Cloud solution.

Job Description :

The DC Office of the Chief Technology Officers Data Services team is looking for an IT Consultant to assist in moving its enterprise integration platform from Oracle SOA suite to a cloud solution. This resource shall assist in the development of new integration solutions in a cloud environment.

Expertise and Strong handson experience in technologies related to application integration.

Implementation of projects with integration platforms like Oracle SOA, Microsoft Azure and other cloudbased solutions

Define processes and plans for incremental migrations of services and scripts from asis environment to cloud solution.

Partner with technical team members (developers, administrators, quality analysts) to analyze and document the existing architecture, functionality, and dependencies of different applications in an integration.

Evaluate options and formulate solutions, assess overall feasibility, determine current and future cost models, develop timelines, and align with functional requirements.

Translation of requirements into high level technical architecture.

Strong design and troubleshooting skills with an understanding and / or development experience in multiple web service protocols, programming languages, security, development methodologies and governance.

Create, enhance, modify and develop with enterprise and custom connectors.

Work with Enterprise platforms for CRM, HR, Procurement, Finance to implement new and / or modify existing integrations.

Experience with development and concepts of Microservices is a plus.

Manage and complete multiple, competing, high priority projects with varying deadlines.

Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.

Provides consultation on complex projects and is the toplevel contributor / specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Responsibilities :

Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.

Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities.

Develops technical applications to support users.

Develops, implements, maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems.

Provides training for system products and procedures.

Performs application upgrades.

Performs, monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real time databases, realtime network and serial data communications, and realtime graphics and logic applications.

Troubleshoots problems.

Ensures project lifecycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures.

Minimum Education / Certification Requirements :

Required Skills :

Expertise in Software Engineering and Application Integration 15 Years

Experience working with Web Services / Messaging : XML, REST, API development, ITIL processes and SOA Governance 10 Years

Experience with cloud integration platforms like Oracle, Microsoft Azure and other cloudbased solutions 5 Years

Expertise programming with languages such as Java, .NET, Python 12 Years

Experience working with enterprise connectors and developing custom connectors 5 Years

Experience with migration of APIs from traditional applications to cloud platforms 3 Years

Experience with Unix, Red Hat Linux, Shells 7 Years

Experience with Oracle SOA Suite12C 2 Years

Use of SDLC methodologies : Agile and Waterfall 12 Years

16 yrs planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities 16 Years

16 yrs leading projects, ensuring they are in compliance with established standards / procedures 16 Years

Bachelors degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

Highly desired Skills

Experience with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, SAPARIBA, Box, Oracle ERP 5 Years

Experience with protocols such as FTP / SFTP / FTPS / PGP / GPG 4 Years
