What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional III - Alternative Education position at Mt. Ararat High School?
Mt. Ararat High School seeks a motivated, creative applicant interest in supporting unique learners in our Alternative Education setting, the EAGLES program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Instruct individual and or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of the Eagles Program teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials for individual or small group assignments.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee.
• Supervision of students and management behavior based on guidelines established as part of
the program and individualized behavior plans.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to engage students as learners.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved
study.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to engage in an active learning environment.
• Ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Solid knowledge of safety protocols.
• Demonstrated record-keeping skills.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
