What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Softball Head Coach position at Mt. Ararat High School?
GRADES: 9-12
LOCATION: Mt. Ararat High School
Spring Season: 3/24/2025 - 6/17/2025
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement an organized and comprehensive girls' softball program.
- Work collaboratively with other program coaches, parents, boosters and youth organizations.
- Provide positive leadership while teaching and modeling good sportsmanship.
- Provide adequate supervision and management of team members during practices and games.
- Use current best practices to teach and develop softball skills while maintaining student-athlete safety.
- Report game results to Athletic Director and local media outlets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Prior Varsity head coaching experience preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification, or ability to attain.
- Current Sports First Aid Certification, or ability to attain.
- Maine Dept. of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Authorization, or ability to obtain
