Job Summary
Are you interested in making the difference in the development of preschool children? Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic preschool teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The Mt. Calvary Assistant Preschool teacher will help lead developmentally-appropriate activities that guide in the development of each child's physical, mental, social, spiritual, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early learning experiences of our students.
Duties
- Assist with preparing age-appropriate lessons.
- Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and learning through play.
- Guide children in their interaction with teachers and peers.
- Maintain an organized classroom that is conducive to learning, ensuring all materials are readily available and accessible.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
Skills
- Experience working in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for young learners.
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Ability to educate children effectively while fostering their natural curiosity and love for learning.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among students.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and students.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
