What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative - New Business position at Mt. Folly Enterprises Inc.?
Mt. Folly Enterprises Inc. has recently been awarded a USDA climate-smart commodities grant. It currently owns and sells products for Laura's Homestead Alternatives CBD, Laura's Hemp Chocolates, and craft spirits of Regeneration Distilling Co. An expansion into frozen and fresh beef and pork is coming.
This sales position will be responsible for wholesale sales to mainly new accounts for Laura's Homestead Alternatives CBD and Laura's Hemp Chocolates. This includes some self-distribution, sales, merchandising, in person marketing, and weekly sales meetings with management.
This position is entry level, but will provide opportunities to sell other product lines or grow within the company to other positions.
Ideal candidate will have great written and oral communications, have a basic understanding of CBD and the hemp industry, and have an interest in regenerative farming.
Compensation will be salary based with sales based bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales
- Gain retail commitment to stock MFE products
- Ensure proper invoicing
- Handle demo’s/tastings/promotional responsibilities of MFE products
Inventory Management:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing products.
- Assist in conducting inventory counts and appropriate reorders
Product Delivery:
- Manage delivery of products to retail locations
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners.
Market Analysis:
- Know what factors influence customer buying preferences.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum education. Bachelors preferred.
- Bonus for previous liquor distribution sales
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, profit margins and inventory counts (among others)
- Ability to travel as needed. Up to 90% of the time to see accounts and buyers.
