Job Summary
Performs dental exams for patients at the MHCC dental clinic.
Essential Duties
- Examines clinical patients for caries, oral lesions, orthognathic relationships, or any other area significant to preventative dental care.
- Evaluates patients’ radiographs for pathology and completes appropriate referral forms.
- Reviews student chart entries and referrals, provides corrections as necessary, and signs as the dentist of record.
- Acts as a consultant for students and faculty in the assessment of patient health histories.
- Emphasizes the importance of patient consent; informs patients of treatment options and follow-through (completion of all recommended care or appropriate referral).
Additional Duties
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a current dental license in Oregon (DMD or DDS)
- Eligible to obtain liability insurance
- Three (3) years clinical dental practice
Desired Qualifications
- General/family practice experience preferred, but specialists will be considered
- Possession of a Nitrous Oxide Permit

- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, and staff
