What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Shop Mechanic position at Mt. Hood Meadows?
The Vehicle Shop Mechanic propels our standard of service by ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our dynamic fleet throughout the season. This team member performs work on fleet buses, shuttles, company vehicles, snowmobiles, and state of the art snow equipment such as Snowcats and heavy equipment designed to move and harvest the snow from our parking lots. All repairs are performed on-site where the Vehicle Shop Mechanic will perform scheduled maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, and assist the team with tasks and repairs as needed.
This is a full-time, year-round, benefitted position
Scope of Work:
Perform repairs and routine service to vehicle shop equipment
Recovery of equipment and vehicles
Collaborate with other vehicle shop team members on projects
Document performed repairs and maintenance

Must be at least 19 years of age for insurance purposes
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to perform work in all outdoor weather conditions including snow and rain
Must be able to commit to working weekends and holidays during the winter season
Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Basic Welding Skills
ASE Certified
Equipment operation experience (Snowcats, Plow Trucks, Snowmobiles)
Compensation:
Starting Wage: $24.00 Hourly
