Position/Title Communications Director
Part Time/Full-Time Full-Time Status, Exempt

| SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The candidate will have broad knowledge and experience leading a team of creatives. The ideal candidate will be expected to lead a team to accomplish the marketing, branding, and overall heartbeat of Mt. Horeb church. The ideal candidate must be creative and flexible, work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment, and be able to take directions from the leadership of the church.
| MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead and manage a diverse and creative staff within the communications team.
· Lead the graphics team to create visual content for weekend services and print material to include sermon illustrations and promotional graphics.
· Oversee all print media going out from all ministries.
· Oversee and edit the website content.
· Oversee efforts related to securing or responding to media attention.
· Oversee all photography and videography projects with final approval.
· Maintain a church-wide social media strategy with content that uses “one voice”
· Help develop systems to organize, prioritize, and communicate promotional items related to Mt. Horeb Church.
· Analyze and help run analytical reports measuring engagement to help evaluate and improve overall engagement.
· Own ultimate responsibility for all pieces of church content (print, email, social media, web, mobile app) by ensuring it is technically effective, grammatically correct, doctrinally accurate, and within the Mt. Horeb Church brand framework.
· Other marketing and communications duties as assigned.
· Required working presence at Easter, VBS, Christmas Eve and other large volume events as needed.
Skill Set/Experience
· Degree in communications, marketing or related field.
· 5 years of communications management experience.
· Ability to accomplish and complete duties independently and with a team
· Proven time management skills
· Proven leadership qualities
· Striving for excellence in ministry
· Organizational and administration skills necessary
· Excellent communicator and creative thinker.
· Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator are a plus
· Knowledge and experience with website management, including WordPress.
