Staff Support Job Summary:
The Support Teacher will be responsible for assisting in day to day classroom and/or center operations while adhering to the company’s mission of providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children to grow, develop, and shine. The successful candidate will be energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possess great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
The day to day responsibilities:
The Support Teacher is responsible for supporting the Mt. Juliet Early Learning Center teachers in the oversight and management of their classrooms. This position is responsible for supporting teachers and assistant teachers with curriculum implementation, classroom and center activities, teacher training, record keeping, and overall student care. The Support Teacher will support and assume position responsibilities of center team members in their absence. Daily assignments may include Cooking meals for the children, coverage for other staff during breaks and planning time, clean toys and educational materials, clean common areas such as bathrooms, kitchen, break room and outdoor play areas, remove garbage, inventory supplies, organize art and supplies cabinets.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must undergo a background check
- Child Care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility in work hours and responsibilities
- Ability to easily build rapport with students, families and fellow team members
- Friendly, positive, and approachable demeanor
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times
Physical Requirements:
Able to frequently lift or move an average weight as in lifting, carrying, and holding children (10-40 pounds)
- Occasional heavy weights (over 60 pounds)
- Able to interact with children, teachers, and parents on the playground, in the office, or in the classroom
- Able to stoop and bend to interact on a child's level
- Able to seek assistance to perform physical demands on the job if necessary, such as lifting a heavy object or moving heavy objects
This is a part time position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience and skill set. Will report to the Assistant Director and Director of the center.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
