Golf Course Equipment Operator

By State law, all positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES be obtained prior to the first day of work. You should allow 4-6 weeks to obtain all clearances. If you work for at least one month, we will reimburse for the cost of the clearances ($60.25) that are obtained for you to work for us. GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (Seasonal Part-time)

REPORTS TO: GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

NATURE OF WORK

This part time, seasonal position assists with the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course grounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Safely and effectively operates all motorized mowing equipment including tractors, greens' mowers, trim mowers, tee mowers and rotary mowers.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Assists with repairs to the irrigation system.
• Assists with scheduled turf aerification procedures.
• Operates manual and power tools and equipment required to maintain the golf course.
• Performs leaf and debris cleanup and removal.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs all other work assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Clear understanding of golf course maintenance procedures.
• Clear understanding of golf course equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic understanding of the game of golf.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least one year of experience working at a golf facility.
• State pesticide license preferred.

• Exposure to extreme noise conditions (Constantly 90-100%)
• Exposure to potential Hazardous Conditions-Fumes & Chemicals (Rarely 0-30%)
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions (Frequently 60-90%)
