**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during designated shifts. Working collaboratively with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
Serving as a resource person for staff, the CNC models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes contributing to overall departmental performance.
The CNC assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care. Participating in ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, the CNC collaborates with management to improve engagement through operationalizing current nursing strategies.
This includes employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives. The CNC provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions.
The CNC assists with staff scheduling, managing practical aspects of labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Supporting proper inventory control and assisting with managing supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/BSN - Highly Preferred
- 1 year experience in perioperative healthcare-Required
- 1 year experience in leadership role-Preferred
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
- Online certification not acceptable
- ACLS, PALS and/or other certifications as required for patient care area and by facility
