2025 Summer Camp Director-Half Day Camp (part-time, seasonal)

Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing more than 454 acres, the Mt. Prospect Park District provides outstanding recreational programs, events, parks, facilities and services. With seven primary facilities and 27 neighborhood parks, the Park District is an integral part of a thriving multi-generational community. District open space includes two outdoor pools, biking and walking paths, a dog park and sizable space for outdoor athletic programming. The District covers over 11 square miles and serves a region of over a quarter million residents in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities.

We are currently searching for a 2025 Summer Camp Director-Half Day Camp. Under the direct supervision of the Early Childhood and Youth Manager, the 2025 Summer Camp Director-Half Day Camp is responsible for administrative duties, managing day camp staff and supervision of the half day campers. The 2025 Summer Camp Director-Half Day Camp must be able to attend all preseason planning sessions, training and staff meetings beginning in mid-May, 2025. Additionally, the 2025 Summer Camp Director-Half Day Camp must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM-1 : 30 PM. Camp runs June 2nd through August 8th, 2025.  A maximum of 5 (unpaid) days off are allowed during the 2025 Summer Camp season. And the Summer Camp Directors and Assistant Camp Directors must be at least 20 years old, or turn 20 during summer camp session dates. Applicants who are 21 years or older must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License (age 21 ), in order to operate MPPD vehicles. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. The starting pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
