Job Description
Mt. San Antonio College is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor of Communication. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty member who will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in communication and related fields.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
This is a 10-month contract position that begins in the 2025-26 academic year. Placement on the salary schedule is based on formal education, full-time and/or part-time teaching, and related work experience, up to a maximum placement at step 9.
Essential Duties:
- Teach undergraduate courses in communication and related fields
- Develop and implement curriculum for communication courses
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental and college-wide activities and events
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Communication or related field
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in communication
- Strong commitment to teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
