We have an exciting opportunity for a Computer Systems Coordinator position located at our campus in Menifee, CA.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Technology Support Services or designee, the Computer Systems Coordinator for maintaining and coordinating the District's endpoint computing systems. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, security, and optimal performance of the District's endpoint computing resources. . Incumbents personally perform difficult and responsible computing functions that may involve the analysis, engineering, design and maintenance of end user compute devices. Â The Computer Systems Coordinator will work closely with other IT staff and faculty to support the educational and administrative functions of the District.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTÂ

- Administer, configure, and maintain desktop and mobile computing workstations and other endpoint computing resources
- Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal uptime
- Perform regular system updates and patches
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, students and other MSJC community members
- Install and maintain hardware, software and client images
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security standards
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect against cybersecurity incidents
- Assist in regular security assessments and audits
- Balance security practices with effective learning/working environments
- Create and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures
- Provide training to end users on IT-related topics as needed
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments
- Perform preventative maintenance; configuration, troubleshooting and repair of client computer and related equipment
- Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies pertinent to the college
- Research and secure quotations of equipment, software and hardware
- Consult staff and students within the college as needed regarding safe and standard operation of client computer systems
- May perform functions related to leading the work of technical staff
- Effectively communicate, orally and in writing; with faculty, students, administrators, and staff to coordinate successful completion of projects
The incumbent should possess knowledge of

- Theory and principles of data architecture and network design

- Maintaining documentation and records
- Handling multiple assignments simultaneously and set priorities based on customer needs
- Develop and maintain back up recovery plans and incorporate security

- Prepare and maintain records and reports
- Make sound independent judgments within established guidelines
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, including those from a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff
- A Bachelor's degree (attach transcripts); ANDÂ
- One (1) year of professional experience using IT management hardware and software similar to those used at the District; AND Â
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staffÂ
SUBSTITUTIONS Substitutions for meeting the minimum qualifications for the education requirement are allowed as follows
- Education equivalent to an Associate's degree in Information Technology (or related field); ANDÂ
- Two (2) years of professional experience using IT Management hardware and software similar to those used at the DistrictÂ
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or related field) Â Â
- Two (2) years of successful lead IT experience Â
- Two (2) years professional experience with:Â
    B) mobile device and application management via IntuneÂ
- Two (2) years professional experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise level client computing environments
- Experience working in a higher education environment Â
