We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead a team of medical assistants in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, foster a positive and efficient working environment, and create a nurturing and child-friendly environment for patients and their families. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and hands-on clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor medical assistants, ensuring they meet performance standards and provide excellent patient care.
- Child-Centered Care Coordination: Oversee patient intake, assist with exams, vaccinations, and procedures, and ensure a child-friendly, calming atmosphere throughout the clinic.
- Scheduling and Workflow: Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and manage clinic workflows to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, clinical protocols, and organizational policies. Conduct regular quality checks and address areas for improvement.
- Patient Care: Provide hands-on clinical support, including administering medications, taking vitals, and assisting physicians as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate medical records, monitor inventory of supplies, and collaborate with other departments to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any staff or patient concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for staff development and process enhancement, implementing solutions to improve the clinic's performance.
Qualifications:
- Certification or License as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nurse, with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- In-depth understanding of pediatric medical procedures, child development stages, and family-centered care.
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software.
- Ability to travel between clinics on a regular basis to work with multiple teams.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced clinical setting.
