What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Coordinator position at Mt. View United Methodist Church?
This position will develop, design, organize the activities associated with all external and internal communications.
- Develop and carry out a communications plan that supports the church’s mission, goals, and objectives.
- Direct, manage, maintain and support all digital media.
- Design graphics for ministry and program use.
- Communicate complete and accurate information to the congregation or target audience.
- Execute weekly process for worship deliverables: bulletin, slides, eblast, etc.
- Explore and implement advertising opportunities.
- Attend occasional planning meetings.
- Mailchimp, Wordpress, Adobe, Canva, Proclaim or similar software.

The qualified candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience digital marketing or communication fields
- Outstanding administrative and communication skills are essential.
- An undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or digital media is preferred.
- 15-20 hours per week. Majority can be done as remote work, but in house printing and occasional planning meetings in person will be required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
