Summary
School Age Child Care Group Leader
Ideal candidate will be able to work a split shift and is responsible for opening and closing the center. Must be able to work full days during summer and when school is out.
This person will plan, implement, and supervise a daily program of activities that reflect the needs and interest of school age children while ensuring a safe environment for all children.
Drive children to and from school. Assist children with homework, crafts and other activities that you plan for the day.
Duties
Physical Demand :
Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities.
Ability to lift minimum of 30 pounds.
Ability to stand for a long period of time.
Ability to interact with the children on their level.
Ability to supervise Children.
Ability to have oral and written communication skills.
Ability to stand, greet parents and children by name.
Ability to control high noise level.
Requirements
School Age Lead Teacher Requirements :
Must have a clean driving record and able to drive short school bus (14 passenger, no cdl required).
Child Care experience or CDA
Must be willing to get and / or maintain CPR, 1st aid, communicable disease, and child abuse certification. (Company-paid training).
Must be Self-Motivated
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be a team player
Must be reliable
Must be flexible
Passion for working with school-age children
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prior experience with a faith-based center.
