What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential custom home superintendent position at MTBH?
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Superintendent to join our custom home building team. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site supervision, coordination, and quality control for all phases of residential construction projects.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a daily log of activities and monitor job site cleanliness and organization.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Conduct customer walk-throughs and manage punch-out and warranty processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in custom home building or high-end residential construction.
- Carpentry experience or willingness to be a hands-on Superintendent.
