Job Title : Portfolio Manager
Reports To : EVP, Managing Director
Work Location : 10700 Research Drive, Milwaukee WI; This position offers flexibility in work locations. The candidate can work from any of our Midwest Trust Company office locations, or remote as an additional option.
Purpose
The Portfolio Manager (PM), Trust Investments is responsible for the delivery of investment management services to Midwest Institutional Trust (MITS) clients. The PM is a member of a team that provides comprehensive fiduciary investment advisory services to multiple types of clients including, but not limited to : defined benefit pension plans, Taft-Hartley plans, healthcare organizations, corporate operating funds, endowments, foundations, and specialized trusts.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities to be performed with or without accommodation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their specific needs and providing advice on regulatory issues and investment design.
- Retain and grow existing client relationships.
- Conduct periodic client investment review meetings including market and economic updates, asset allocation reviews, performance updates, attribution analysis, and confirmation that investments are operating within client investment policy guidelines.
- Drive proactive meetings with clients, focusing on pre meeting preparation, planning and execution, as well as establishing next steps with clients.
- Generate new business revenue objectives and participate in RFPs as needed.
- Re-balancing client portfolios to maintain alignment with investment strategies, placing mutual fund trades as needed, coordinating cash flows with third-party managers and other members of the service team. Documenting re-balancing activities in each client folder in support of business line compliance standards and policies.
