Junior Contracts Administrator
The Junior Contracts Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the full lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition regulations.
About this Role:
- Draft, review, and track teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and proprietary information agreements.
- Track and assist in the submission of contract deliverables.
- Assist in performing the setup of projects and contract workforce within the accounting system.
- Maintain contract documentation and reporting in compliance with DCAA and DCMA requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of cost proposals, pricing analyses, and contract bids for new and existing government contracts and subcontracts.
- Complete required supplier forms and representations and certifications as required.
- Draft purchase orders for contract material purchases, track incoming deliveries, and review vendor invoices against applicable purchase orders.
- Draft and coordinate customer signatures on DD250's – Material Inspection and Receiving Report.
- Develop travel/material estimates as needed to include required backup data.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and government procurement processes.
- Experience with Federal Government contract administration involving all contract types (Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, T&M, IDIQ Task/Delivery Order) from contract award to closeout.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple contract administration tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Deltek Costpoint (Time/Expense, Projects) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in government contract administration within the aerospace, defense, or DoD contracting industry.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, if required.
